At Lindenhurst Family Practice, we are closely monitoring information regarding COVID 19 and guidelines regarding patient care. We are doing everything we can to ensure the safety of our patients, employees and providers. We are updating our policies daily to reflect current guidelines.
Dear Current LFP patients:
We continue to be available for our patients as a resource to help navigate your health. We are open during normal business hours and currently offer in office visits and Telehealth appointment services covered by most insurance plans.
Following Illinois state mandate, it is required that anyone entering our building wear a facial covering or mask during their entire stay. In addition, depending on your travel history, you will be asked to stay home for a period of 14 days from the time you left an area with widespread or ongoing community spread. The following states are on that list: Alabama, Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Nevada, South Carolina, Tennessee or Texas. If you have questions, you can call our office and we may request that you schedule a later appointment or a telemedicine visit. We will be updating our policies often following Illinois state mandate and the CDC’s recommendations. We greatly appreciate your understanding at this time and assure you that these policies are for your safety, the safety of others and of our staff. Only 1 person (patient) is allowed in an exam room; if a child is being seen, only 1 parent is allowed with patient in exam room.
*IMPORTANT INSURANCE UPDATES* (AETNA): Our office continues to be IN NETWORK with Aetna, any misinformation regarding this has been corrected. Our office is an IN NETWORK provider with Blue Choice PPO.
We have taken multiple steps to ensure patients’ health and safety and that of our staff and are strictly following state mandate and CDC guidelines. We have implemented social distancing in our waiting area, encourage people to wait in their cars if seeking in-person services, enforce mask wearing per state mandate and social distancing, advise anyone with a cough, sore throat, fever, aches, and respiratory symptoms DO NOT come in to our office directly but call first, and we are able to screen and treat numerous issues via telemedicine. Our staff is disinfecting each room thoroughly between uses and rotating exam rooms between patients to decrease traffic. If you are experiencing ongoing symptoms, or to continue management of chronic conditions, telemedicine services can screen and address a variety of issues and determine the most appropriate direction for the continuation of medical care.
A delay in getting the care needed can lead to longer term complications. Your family practice provider is the front line in determining next steps for care appropriate for your condition. Call us at 847-356-9300 to make an appointment with one of our providers.
Current patients may refer to doctorsrxs.com, the on-site independent pharmacy at LFP for prescription supply and information. DrsRx offers curbside pick up as well as home delivery for those in need of that service, as well as many other conveniences; contact them directly for more information.
We greatly appreciate your understanding and cooperation at this time.
